Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based psychological treatment that addresses maladaptive thinking patterns and their impact on beliefs, ultimately leading to problematic behaviors.
By learning to identify "thinking traps" and "schemas," individuals can recognize and challenge false beliefs about themselves and others, fostering healthier thought patterns.
Our ingrained beliefs and learned behaviors can create turmoil, strain relationships, and result in debilitating anxiety. Through CBT, recognizing and modifying distorted thoughts can alleviate symptoms, promoting greater peace and well-being in your life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy that helps individuals work through disturbing experiences. When we experience traumatic events, our brain and nervous system work to protect us, which can lead to unprocessed memories. These memories contain the emotions, thoughts, beliefs and physical sensations that occurred at the time of the event. By using EMDR, our brain can change the way the memory is stored, which reduces or eliminates problematic symptoms.
